The ball games were a great opportunity for the students to participate in a common activity and create unity among the schools. They also allowed the students to interact among themselves and create long-lasting friendships.

The students participated in numerous games, such as under-15 and under-12 boys’ football; boys’ handball; girls’ leg ball; girls’ netball; volleyball for both boys and girls; under-15 and under-12 badminton; and table tennis for boys. Several AKPS, Mombasa teams won trophies and certificates including the under-12 football boys' team, boys’ volleyball, girls’ leg ball and boys’ table tennis. Overall, the school ranked third among the competing teams.

MOPPSHA aims to make this an annual sporting event to help nurture sporting talents within the sub-county of Mombasa.

“We are pleased to have hosted the 2023 MOPPSHA Inter-Private Primary School Ball and Racket Games Championship here at AKPS, Mombasa,” Head Teacher Constantine Dzombo said. “This is a day full of fun and learning interactions for the school and student community.”
