Celebrating the Joy of Giving
The Aga Khan Preschools (AKPs), Aga Khan School (AKS), Sidhpur and Platinum Jubilee High School (PJHS), Warangal observed Daan Utsav throughout October and November, which is a week dedicated to performing acts of kindness.
At the AKPs, preschoolers, along with staff, parents, teachers and volunteers, united to embrace the spirit of generosity by collecting essential items like grains, pulses, clothing, books and stationery. The items were then donated to orphanages and homes for the visually impaired, aiming to instil empathy and compassion in the hearts of the young preschoolers.
Meanwhile, at AKS, Sidhpur, the school community gathered essential items and donated the contributions to the Akhil Gujarat Ravat Pragati Samaj trust, an institution dedicated to the education and welfare of students from unique socio-economic backgrounds. The ashram expressed heartfelt thanks through an appreciation letter, emphasising the positive impact of these initiatives on the lives of the children.
Additionally, PJHS, Warangal students from Grades 1-10 donated essential food items to Anandashram and stationery items to Government High School, Warangal.
