Celebrating the Grade 6 graduating class at the Aga Khan Nursery and Primary School, Dar es Salaam

The Aga Khan Nursery and Primary School, Dar es Salaam celebrated its Grade 6 graduation on 30 May 2024. This significant milestone marked the achievements of 108 graduates as they prepared to transition to the next stage of their educational journey.

The ceremony was attended by family members, senior management team members, teachers and the rest of the school community. The chief guest, Ms Nurina Walli, partner development manager at Microsoft East Africa, along with Head Teacher Ms Blandina Duwe, delivered inspirational speeches. Both speakers congratulated the graduates and urged them to strive harder as they move forward in their learning journey. 

The event featured a series of memorable activities including the presentation of certificates to the graduates and a variety of entertaining and informative stage performances, including dancing, singing and a fashion show.  

Stacey Lugalla, a Grade 6 student, shared her excitement about the celebration. 

“I really enjoyed the creativity in each stage item, especially the fashion show where participants dressed up in reusable materials as a reminder to promote sustainability and take good care of Mother Earth,” she said. “The amazing performances made the graduation ceremony more exciting.” 

Parents also expressed their admiration for the ceremony and praised the teachers for the unconditional support provided to their children. 

“The graduation ceremony was incredibly inspiring and moving, celebrating the hard work and dedication of the students,” said Sameera Dawood, mother of Muhammad Ayaan Khan from Grade 6. “Seeing the children receive their certificates filled me with pride and accomplishment. Thanks to all the teachers for their guidance and support; you have filled their minds with knowledge and their hearts with inspiration! It was a true celebration of their growth and achievements as they prepare to embark on the next level of their journey.” 

The graduation ceremony was a testament to the dedication and talent of the students and the supportive community around them. The Aga Khan Nursery and Primary School, Dar es Salaam wish the young graduates the best of luck as they look forward to their future endeavours.
