Enrollment Information for Pre-Primary & Primary

Admission to all levels is subject to seat availability. All applicants are required to sit for an admissions test. The admission process is ongoing from March to May with the academic year commencing annually in April.

Application Forms

Application forms are available from the Administration and Student Affairs Office during scheduled dates and time (announced during school admission exercise). To attain the application form, the following documents must be produced:

Original Birth Certificate as well as two photocopies or Form B
Three passport-sized photographs of the applicant
School Leaving Certificate from the previous school duly attested by the District Education Office (not applicable for pre-primary I class)
Progress Report Card from the previous class issued by the last school attended (not applicable for pre-primary I)

Upon submission, applicants are given an admit card, a copy of the syllabus, and admission test date and time.

Enrollment Information for Grade VIII

In order to qualify for admission to Grade VIII, the candidate should have:

Passed grade VI or VII annual examination or be appearing in the grade VII or VIII annual examination during the year of application
Not have been registered with any assessment Board for a level equal to or above SSC-I (Secondary School Certificate Part One) at the time of applying for admission
Be at least 12 years or maximum 15 years of age on 30th April in the first academic session for Grade VIII students

All candidates for admission have to sit for the admission test and an interview. The objectives of the entrance test include, but are not limited to:

Finding out the candidate's level of understanding of basic concepts
Determining the candidate's potential for further education
Examining the candidate's analytical and mathematical abilities
Exploring the candidate's linguistic competencies in English and Urdu
Finding out the candidate's ability to organise and present information about him/herself and his immediate surroundings
Ascertaining a candidate's level of knowledge about his/her environment

The written test to interview ratio is 80:20. The duration of the written test is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Documents required for Grade VIII admission

Grade VI or VII Pass Certificate or Pass Assurance Certificate, whichever is applicable
Attested Form B and/or attested Birth Certificate
School leaving certificate counter signed by deputy director (to be submitted after the confirmation of admission)

Enrollment Information for Grade XI

Students who clear the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) (or its equivalent) annual examination from the AKU-EB or any other recognised Board / University, with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the Science Group, are eligible to apply for admission.

Students from Aga Khan Schools who achieve A grade or higher in the SSC examination are admitted to grade XI without a test and an interview, and are exempted from paying the admission fee.

All candidates for admission have to sit for the entrance test and an interview. The objectives of the entrance test include, but are not limited to:

Finding out the candidate's level of understanding of basic concepts
Determining the candidate's potential for further education
Exploring the candidate's linguistic competencies in English and Urdu
Finding out the candidate's ability to organise and present information about him/herself and his/her immediate surroundings
