Diamond Jubilee High School, Hyderabad organized the "Cultural Fest 2017",  held at the school campus on January 28, 2017, showcasing the talent of the students through various through cultural performances.

The school campus was decorated for the cultural event, getting the students in the mood for a huge celebration with a host of co-curricular activities. These activities will help the students take interest in the arts, such as dance, music, drama and help them learn the importance of team-work. 

The event was a mixture of social awareness programmes like swachh bharat abhiyan and entertainment.  Chief Guest of the day Mr. S.M. Arif (Padmashri & Dronacharya Awardee, Former Chief National Badminton Coach) and Mr. Rahul Bojja (IAS, Collector & District Magistrate of Hyderabad), appreciated the efforts of the students, who had put in weeks of practice to perform for the cultural event. The main event included different programmes that kept a crowd of more than 1000 visitors engaged through the evening.  The evening had a smooth flow with teachers and students performing specific task as a part of overall team effort.  

When addressing the parents and students, The Chief Guest advised the parents to look at the students` holistic development, rather than just high grades being scored in academics. They also appreciated the child centric approach undertaken by all the AKES schools. 

The Diamond Jubilee High School, Hyderabad was established in 1949 by the Youngmen Ismailia Education Board, and in 1997 it became apart of the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES). The school currently serves 700 students.
