Meet our alumni: Ms Annam Mansuri

Ms Annam Mansuri is a Class of 2012 alumna of the Diamond Jubilee High School for Girls, Mumbai. Currently an English teacher at the Diamond Jubilee High School, Mumbai, Ms Annam reflects on her journey from student to educator.

Being a teacher at the school has been an exceptional journey. It feels like I stepped into a time capsule, where my memories of being a student seamlessly blend with the responsibility of guiding and nurturing the upcoming generation. 

Leveraging my personal experiences as a former student of the same institution, I can connect with my students today on a personal level and offer guidance based on my own life journey. Witnessing their growth and passion for learning is incredibly fulfilling.  

Reflecting on my own story, I was deeply influenced by educators from my alma mater. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ms Arjumand Sayed and Ms Mahajabeen Shaikh for being my guiding forces and imparting knowledge in a way that inspired me to be enthusiastic and dynamic, much like them.  

As an educator, guiding and inspiring the next cohort of students in the same institution where I was once a pupil is an excellent opportunity. It allows me to give back to the community that shaped me and to create a positive educational environment for my students. I am grateful for the chance to positively impact their lives each day.
